Check fibre availability at the exact address before you sign a rental. It is one phone call, and coverage varies street by street rather than town by town.

That is the price a Cypriot household on 2,500–4,999 kWh/year actually paid, all taxes and levies included — of which €0.1885 is the energy itself and the rest is tax, levies and network charges. It fell 5.4% from €0.2932 in the first half of 2025.

Electricity
Electricity Authority of Cyprus — the distributor for the whole island
Open the account in person at the local EAC office. Take photo ID and the signed rental contract or title deed. A deposit is normally required; the amount depends on the property and the tariff, so ask when you go.

Billed on usage, by the board covering your address rather than a national utility, so both the tariff and the billing cycle differ by district. Take ID and the rental contract to the local board’s office.

Charged through the municipal bill once you are on the property, usually without you arranging anything. The rate is set by each municipality, so check with the one you are moving into.
