These are asking rents, taken from what landlords and agents advertise — mostly on Bazaraki, the classifieds site almost every Cyprus listing passes through, plus the portals alongside it. They are an opening position, not a market rate.
In Cyprus, rents and prices are genuinely negotiable — never take the first figure as final. A long lease, a quiet month, paying a few months up front, or simply a property that has been sitting all move the number. Expect to land under the advertised figure, and treat anything at the top of the band as a starting point rather than a verdict.

The Venetian walls and old Lefkosia
A complete sixteenth-century star fort wrapped around the old town, with the bastions now parks and car parks. The signed route through it is the quickest way to understand how the city is laid out.
